Financial lines at subsidized rates from 1.99% to 3.29%
BBI Bank and the Novi Grad Municipality Financial lines at subsidized rates from 1.99% to 3.29% Bosna Bank International (BBI) and the Novi Grad municipality of Sarajevo have jointly established favorable financial lines to businesses in Novi Grad. Semir Efendić, Mayor of municipality, and Amer Bukvić, Director of BBI Bank, signed a business cooperation agreement for the current year. This project will allow businessmen to obtain BBI Bank financing with favorable conditions and at a subsidized rate from 1.99% to 3.29%. The goal is to support entrepreneurs in maintaining and even increasing employment.
"BBI Bank was the only bank last year that applied to our program to support the economy through favorable funding for companies in the Novi Grad municipality. In just one month, all available funds from BBI have been distributed, proving that Novi Grad businessmen have great interest in this type of financing. The municipality has been inspired to earmark more funds in the budget, namely 200,000 KM in partnership with BBI Bank, to form the base of a fund between 4 and 5 million. These resources will be available to businessmen at a profit rate from 1.99% to 3.29%. This year, even more businessmen and banks have applied for the program. However, BBI Bank has offered us the best conditions, and we and look forward to continuing our cooperation," said Mayor Efendić.
Amer Bukvić, Director of BBI Bank, said that the Novi Grad municipality can serve as a positive example for other municipalities and state institutions.
"BBI Bank, during the last five to six years, especially in times of economic crisis, has increased its support for the economy, which is reflected in its expansion. This is the moment when we need to be with businessmen in Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of the difficult situation. At this point, best we can do is helping the private sector to overcome the crisis by increasing production, creating (new) jobs and meeting a better time" said Bukvić.
