Bosna Bank International, the only bank of its kind, which operates in accordance with Islamic financial principles in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region at large, opened its newest Branch office in Gradačac. The new Branch office is located at Huseina Kapetana Gradaščevića bb.

Mr. Fadil Imširović, Mayor of Gradacac municipality and Mr. Muhamed Prlja, BBI`s Director of Retail Banking Division, officiated the opening ceremony. By symbolic cutting of the ribbon Mr. Prlja announced the beginning of operations of BBI`s second Branch office in Tuzla Canton. BBI`s Gradačac Branch office represents 14th BBI branch in B&H so far.

Mayor Imširović thanked BBI for providing an opportunity to the residents of Gradačac municipality so they can utilize banking products and services in accordance with Islamic business and commercial principles. Mr. Imširović particularly expressed his gratitude to the Management of BBI for offering employment opportunity to young professional cadres.

Mr. Muhamed Prlja, director of BBIs Retail Banking Division pointed out that BBI is a strong and stable Bank backed by 56 ministries of finance of member states of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), as well as by the Bank, whose business rating credentials have been one of the world`s best.

Just ten minutes after the official announcement, the new Gradacac Branch office opened three new saving deposits and three new passbook accounts. Gradačac Branch office will initially employ three staff members. The Branch office is equipped with all technical and staff requirements needed for its operations in dealing with general public, for conducting various types of payment transactions and to operate in accordance with local legislation.
