After its official launch in Bosnia and Herzegovina, ‘Sarajevo Business Forum 2010’ has recently been announced at the major Press Conference in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

The idea and concept of this major international investment conference was presented to the Saudi media by the CEO of Bosna Bank International, Mr. Amer Bukvic, Salih Abdullah Kamil, president of the Chamber of Commerce and the Islamic Chamber of commerce in Jeddah, dr. Mohamed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Dr. Adil Bushnak, Chairman of the Bushnak Group.
President of the Chamber of Commerce of Jeddah, Salih Kamil Abdullah used the Press Conference to invite Saudi businessmen to join the Saudi Arabian delegation, soon to be formed, to attend the Sarajevo Business Forum in order to help in the reconstruction and development of Bosnian economy. Mr. Kamil pointed out the importance of establishing the bridge of cooperation between Saudi entrepreneurs with Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, Mr. Kamil declared, offers numerous opportunities for investment in various segments of economy which require substantial financial resources to achieve its full potential and to help it regain its place  among the prosperous European nations.

Mr. Amer Bukvic, the CEO of Bosna Bank International (BBI) used this major press conference to brief the Saudi  media on excellent business opportunities Bosnia and Herzegovina has to offer foreign investors. ‘Bosna and Herzegovina’. Mr. Bukvic pointed out, ‘is now ready for economic and financial cooperation with member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council states - GCC (multilateral organization of oil-rich countries of the Arabian Gulf). Dr. Adil Bushnak stressed the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina is now a peaceful and stable country, thereby encouraging Saudi investors to take advantage of investing in BH economy.

Sarajevo Business Forum is being organized by the BBI VIP Business Club and Tiqah (Business Club of IDB Group) in conjunction with GAPID (Global Alliance for Partnership in International Development) &  Bushnak Group. The Forum’s major focus is to encourage international investment in the four major sectors of BH economy ( infrastructure, energy, agriculture and tourism).

Sarajevo Business Forum has so far received serious attention by international investor community. Leading figures from the business world as well as prominent public figures and statesmen from the Gulf region, Asia and Europe have already confirmed their attendance at the forthcoming Forum.  They include, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Dr. Mahathir Mohammad, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia  and the Chairman of GAPID, Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Khaled Al Aboodi, director general of  IDB Group, Suleiman Al-Herbish, director general of OPEC Fund for International development  (OFID), Dr. Adil Bushnak, Chairman of Bushnak Group, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates Airlines, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Chairman of the Dubai Islamic Bank and Wadah Khanfar, director general of Al Jazeera Network.
