CORPORATION FOR INVESTMENTS AND CONSULTING TO BE SET UP IN B&H
 

After successfully convening Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) -  the major international investment conference held on April 6. and 7. ,
during which 157 business projects totaling 11.5 billion Euros were presented to international investors, the Organizers of the Forum, Bosna Bank International & the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB) met to discuss the possibility of setting up Corporation for Investing and Consulting (CIC)

The meeting to discuss modalities and structuring of the Corporation was held in Jeddah (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) last week and was attended by the major architects of this idea as well as the key decision maker. Those present at this historical meeting were: Mr. Amer Bukvic, the CEO of Bosna Bank International, Dr. Ahmad Muhamed Ali, the Chairman of the IDB, Dr. Murat Yulek, director of  PGlobal (consulting firm from Turkey) credited with successful training program for preparation of feasibility studies, Khaled Al-Aboodi, the director general of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector, Abdul Aziz Al-Hinai, vice-President of IDB and approx 30 investors from Kingom of Saudi Arabia who did not attend the Sarajevo Business Forum in April.

Corporation for Investments, the headquarters of which, will be based in Sarajevo, was conceived as the central desk for facilitating the needs of investors, to receive their recommendations and requests, link them up with companies and individuals capable of offering attractive and viable business projects. CIC will directly participate in investments and it will identify and provide new investors, facilitate structuring of investments from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC) into our region including the projects presented at the Sarajevo Business Forum.

‘As we promised, Sarajevo Business Forum is continuing. SBF was not a single event, rather it is a process that continues and that is yet to yield the real results in the future. One of the SBF outcomes is certainly the establishment of the Corporation for Investments and Consulting. In addition, several major projects are currently under negotiations with investors and these are the direct results of SBF. However, until negotiations have been completed, I prefer not to release any further details' ---BBI director general Amer Bukvic declared.
